Rule of 4 and 2

Hone Poker

The Rule of 4 and 2 is a quick method for estimating your equity when you have a draw. On the flop, multiply your outs by 4. On the turn, multiply by 2. Then compare to the pot odds you're being offered. In this drill, you'll face drawing situations and decide whether to call, raise, or fold based on your estimated equity vs. the price.

"Count your outs. Multiply by four on the flop, by two on the turn. That's your equity. Compare it to the pot odds — it's that simple."
